Real Men Wear Pink
Every October, men across the country band together to help raise money and awareness for breast cancer research. Though there are many ways of doing so, one way they raise awareness is through the ‘Real Men Wear Pink’ campaign, where those participating wear pink clothes throughout the month to show support for those fighting or recovering from breast cancer. ‘Real Men Wear Pink’ is a campaign that uses the power of pink to raise awareness and money for the American Cancer Society’s breast cancer initiatives, including research endeavors, and education promoting screening and prevention.
Chris Zayid, CEO of Affinity Senior Care, is an avid supporter of the cause, In the past 4 years, he, along with a handful of other men from Oakland County, have helped raise over $800,000. These funds have contributed to fund research, provide education, and provide support to breast cancer patients. Zayid continues to support the cause year round, by providing top of the line services through Affinity to seniors living with the disease.
